Every class can be a first chapter.

Not sure where to begin?

Starting something new can feel like trying to jump into a story mid-chapter. You walk into a space where others seem to know what’s going on—how to roll their mats, when to breathe, which direction to turn. You might ask yourself:

Am I in the right place?
Am I already behind?

We hear this all the time. And we want you to know:
You are not behind.
You are not late.
You are exactly where you need to be.

At Move2Joy, we design every class—especially our beginner-friendly offerings—as if it were someone’s very first. Our goal isn’t to rush you ahead or expect you to catch up. It’s to help you begin—gently, clearly, and with kindness.

What does a beginner-friendly class that look like?

You will find:
• Clear guidance that doesn’t assume you already know the poses or steps.
• Choices and modifications that support your unique needs.
• A pace that is right for you.
• Permission to ask questions.
• A teacher who sees you, supports you, and never expects perfection.

Whether you’re stepping onto a mat for the first time or returning after time away—we’re here for you.

You don’t need to “be ready.”
You just have to start.

A few of our beginner-friendly classes include:

Yoga 101: A series class that builds week to week.
Yoga Essentials: Explore the structure and format of yoga poses with supportive guidance.
Gentle Yoga: A calming, breath-based practice rooted in compassion.
Nia Dance: Joyful movement designed for every body—no dance experience needed.
